The View

I drove to West Branch yesterday to pick up our flowers for planting. I am always in awe of the beauty to be seen just driving along on the interstate.
I left Mackinaw about 10:30 a.m.. The sun was shinning and the sky was incredibly blue. The way the sun danced off the bright, green, spring leaves was a sight to behold. The hills along side I-75 are lush with grasses, wildflowers and “fluffy” looking trees. As I drove along I came to the top of a hill and looked out over the rolling countryside all decked out in the brilliant colors of green. The farms on these hills have a fresh coat of paint on the barns and the fields have been plowed and planted. It is amazing to me how very hilly areas can become farms planted with corn that will grow straight and tall. I wonder, how does a farmer stay in his tractor on the side of a hill?
I noticed the further south I drove the clouds increased. The white fluffy clouds took on a life of their own. Sometimes there were dragons and other times a dollop of whipped cream awaited me around the bend in the road. When I came to the crest of another large hill, the clouds gave me a “thumbs up”. That’s when I knew this was going to be a great day. And it was.
