The snow was coming down and the wind was blowing out of the northwest. I went down under the bridge and snapped some pictures. It was f-r-e-e-z-i-n-g on the beach! Yet it was so peaceful. The water is frozen so there is no noise from the waves. All you hear is your heart beating. So make yourself a hot beverage, relax and enjoy the winter beauty of Mackinaw. Yes… I agree with the Pennsylvania groundhog and I can prove it! There will be only a few more weeks of winter. Take a look at this picture of me and see if you know why I am so certain!
This is not a normal winter season in Mackinaw. There was less than a foot of snow on the ground and it was a sunny, blue sky,15 degree day. ..for the first two days. The kind people at Sheplers’ Ferry invited us to take pictures from their dock.
